NEW CREAM AND WHITE WOODGRAINS FOR SPECTUS
VERTICAL SLIDERS

05/06/2008

Spectus Window Systems has enhanced its range of vertical sliders with two
new woodgrain finishes. Cream woodgrain and white woodgrain profiles are available
from stock, and there is now an option for a new white co-extruded gasket.
Mahogany, light oak and rosewood are also available. The advanced design of the
Spectus sash has an authentic appearance to suit both period & modern properties.

The Spectus slider suite has two
sash sizes with fully featured ovolo
detail. Options include a traditional
deep bottom rail; matching foiled
horns; ovolo shaped Georgian
bars and woolpile infill.

Unusually, it accepts hardware
from all major suppliers.
Its 128mm front-to-back depth
outer frame makes it a direct
replacement for original timber
sashes. Fabricators can also
choose between the standard
150mm cill and an extended
210mm cill for new builds or
casement replacement.
Both the top and bottom of
the sash can be used with an
optional aluminium interlock.

Martin Althorpe, Technical Director,
explains: "The vertical slider
market has huge potential but
is a very different sector to
casement windows.

The Spectus vertical slider is now available in white,
white woodgrain, cream woodgrain, light oak,
rosewood and mahogany.

To be successful, fabricators and installers need to offer traditional
looking designs in a variety of colours to suit period properties.
Vertical sliders are becoming increasingly popular in new build too."
